Thomas John Laqua was born in West Albany, Wabasha County, Minnesota on November 12, 1918.

Prior to entering military service he was employed by the Donalson Air Cleaner Company
in St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was drafted into the Army on May 1, 1944 at Fort Snelling, Minnesota. His home of residence
was listed as St. Paul, Ramsey County, Minnesota and his civilian occupation was listed as
Draftsmen. He had completed three years of High School and was married. His religion was
listed as Catholic.

He was assigned to Company C from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on November 25, 1944.

Private Laqua was killed in action in Germany during the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest
on December 2, 1944.

Thomas J. Laqua was originally buried in the temporary cemetery at Henri-Chapelle
in Block GG Row 7 Grave 139, and was moved to the permanent cemetery at Henri-Chapelle,
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
