Arthur Lee Kruse was born in Humboldt, Minnehaha County, South Dakota on January 21, 1914.

He listed his home of residence as McCook County, South Dakota.
His religion was listed as Catholic.

He was married in 1938.

His Army serial number indicates he was drafted into the Army.

Private Kruse was killed in action in Germany during the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest,
on November 28, 1944.

 

Arthur L. Kruse was originally buried in the temporary cemetery at Henri-Chapelle
in Block II Row 9 Grave 166, and was moved to the permanent cemetery at Henri-Chapelle,
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
