Roy Frank Kreimer was born in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio on December 30, 1915.
(He was also known as LeRoy Frank "Roy" Kreimer.)
Prior to entering military service he was employed by Davey Tree Expert Company in Kent, Ohio.
He was drafted into the Army on
March 8, 1941 at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky. His home of
residence
was listed as Hamilton County, Ohio, and his civilian occupation
was listed as Semiprofessional Occupations.
He had completed grammar school and was single with no
dependents. His religion was listed as Catholic.
He was awarded the Good Conduct
Medal in Headquarters 22nd Infantry Motorized General Orders No.
5,
dated June 8, 1943 at Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Staff Sergeant Kreimer was
killed in action in Germany near Brandscheid,
during the 22nd Infantry's first penetration into Germany.

Roy F. Kreimer was originally
buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium in Block G Row 12 Grave 298 and
his remains were later
transferred and buried in Henri-Chapelle, in the 1947-1949 time
frame, when the temporary
cemeteries were shut down.
