George C. Irie

George C. Irie was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1856.

He enlisted for a period of 5 years as a Private in Company D of the 22nd Infantry on July 22, 1878
at Cleveland, Ohio. His enlistment record indicated that he stood 5 feet 7 ¾ inches tall, had
black hair, hazel eyes and a dark complexion. His previous occupation was listed as Farmer.

 

Private Irie died of Typhoid fever at Fort Gibson, Indian Territory on August 18, 1879.
