William H. Hurley

William H. Hurley was born in Kickapoo, Illinois in 1856.

He enlisted for a period of 5 years as a Private in Company D of the 22nd Infantry on June 18, 1879
at Fort Gibson, Indian Territory. His enlistment record indicated that he stood 5 feet 7 inches tall, had
black hair, hazel eyes and a dark complexion. His previous occupation was listed as Mason.

 

Private Hurley died of Typhoid fever which originated in the Line of Duty at Fort Gibson, Indian Territory
on September 9, 1879
.
