He was assigned to Company A 22nd Infantry from the 14th Replacement Depot on December 26, 1944.

He was transferred to Company B on December 28, 1944.

Private First Class Galick died of wounds received in action on February 6, 1945 in Germany,
during the 22nd Infantry's second penetration into Germany.

Herman W. Galick was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and some time later his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Texas.
