Emil John Emrisek was born in Tarentum, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on November 6, 1913.

Prior to entering military service he was employed by the Allegheny Steel Company
in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania.

He was drafted into the Army on January 7, 1944 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His home of residence
was listed as Tarentum, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and his civilian occupation was listed as
Semiskilled Warehousing, Storekeeping, Handling, Loading, Unloading. He had
completed four years of High School and was married in 1941. His religion was
listed as Catholic.

He was assigned to Company C as a Private from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool on August 2, 1944.

He was promoted to Private First Class on August 20, 1944.

Private First Class Emrisek was killed in action in Germany, near Zweifall, on November 11, 1944.

Emil J. Emrisek was originally buried in the temporary cemetery at Henri-Chapelle, in
Block W Row 2 Grave 35, and was moved to the permanent cemetery at Henri-Chapelle
in the 1947-1949 time frame, when the temrporary cemeteries were shut down.
