Howard W. Elrick was born in Massachusetts on October 10, 1925.

He enlisted in the Judge Advocate General's Department of the Army Reserve on February 9, 1943.
His home of residence was listed as Somerville, Middlesex County, Masachusetts and his civilian occupation
was listed as newsboys. He had completed one year of High School and
was separated with dependents. His religion was listed as Protestant.

He was assigned to Company C from the 92nd Replacement Battalion on November 26, 1944.

Private Elrick was killed in action in Germany during the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest
on December 2, 1944.

 

 

Howard W. Elrick was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Henri-Chapelle Cemetery, Eupen, Belgium and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Massachusetts on May 13, 1948.
