Frank Echevarria born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on April 27, 1907.
He was drafted into the Army on
June 12, 1943 at New York City,
New York. His home of residence was listed as New York City, New
York.
He had completed one year of High School and was separated with
dependents.
At the time of induction he was an American citizen.
He was assigned to Company C
from the 4th Infantry Division
replacement pool on June 26, 1944.
Private Echevarria was killed in
action in Germany on September 21, 1944,
near Brandscheid.
Frank Echevarria was originally
buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and his remains were later
returned to the
United States where he was interred in New York on April 22,
1949.
