Timothy Driscoll

Timothy Driscoll was born in Cork, Ireland in 1846.

He enlisted for a period of 5 years as a Private in Company D of the 22nd Infantry on July 17, 1874
at Fort Wayne, Michigan. His enlistment record indicated that he stood 5 feet 8 ½ inches tall, had
brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. His previous occupation was listed as Soldier.

His enlistment record noted that he was on his third enlistment but gave no further details.

 

Private Driscoll died at Springwells, Michigan on October 30, 1875.

The Returns of the 22nd Infantry for the month of October 1875 recorded his cause of death as
"Drowned in the Detroit River at Springwells. Mich."
