Levie H. Davis Jr. was born in
North Carolina on November 14, 1919. He enlisted in the Regular
on January 28, 1941 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. His home of residence was listed
as Jamesville, Martin County, North Carolina and his civilian occupation was listed
as Farm Hands, General Farms. He had completed two years of High School and
was single with no dependents. His religion was listed as Protestant.
PFC Davis was killed in action in France during the attack toward Cherbourg.

the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Sainte Mere-Eglise #2 at Carentan, France and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in the Davis Cemetery at Jamesville, North Carolina.
