William Corwin

William Corwin was born in Michigan in 1877.
He enlisted for a period of 3
years as a Private in Company C of the 22nd Infantry on January
23, 1898
at Fort Crook, Nebraska. His enlistment record indicated that he
stood 5 feet 9 ¼ inches tall, had dark brown hair,
blue eyes and a fair complexion. His previous occupation was
listed as Farmer.
Private Corwin died of malarial fever at Santiago, Cuba on August 4, 1898.
