Kenneth Allen Chapman was born in Wells County, Indiana on January 19, 1925.
He was drafted into the Army on
August 26, 1943 at Toledo, Ohio. His home of residence was listed
as LaGrange, LaGrange County, Indiana and his civilian occupation
was listed as Farm Hands,
General Farms. He had completed grammar school and was single
with no dependents.
His religion was listed as Protestant.
He was assigned to Company C
from the 4th Infantry Division replacement pool
on June 30, 1944.
Private Chapman was killed in
action in France, during the attack toward the town of Periers,
on July 8, 1944.

Kenneth A. Chapman was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Sainte Mere-Eglise #2 at Carentan, France and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in Michigan.
