Joseph Robert Bove was born in New York City, New York on May 18, 1921.

He was drafted into the Army on August 4, 1942 at Fort Jay, Governor's Island, New York. His home of
residence was listed as New York City, New York and his civilian occupation was listed as
Semiskilled occupations in production of miscellaneous food products.
He was single with dependents. His religion was listed as Catholic.

Private Bove was killed in action in the vicinity of Krinkelt, Belgium, on October 7, 1944.

 

 

Joseph R. Bove was buried in the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Henri-Chapelle Cemetery, Eupen, Belgium and some time later
his remains were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in New York.
