Andrew L. Bianco was born in New
York in 1919. He was drafted into the Army
on June 18, 1943 at New York City, New York. He listed his home of residence as
Kings County, New York, and his civilian occupation as Semiskilled Construction Occupations.
He had completed two years of High School and was married. His religion was listed as Catholic.
Private Bianco was killed in
action in Germany, on December 3, 1944, the last day of the
22nd Infantry's particpation in the Battle of the Hürtgern Forest, just as the Regiment was being relieved.
