Andrew Lawrence Bianco was born in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York on March 13, 1919.
He was drafted into the Army on
June 18, 1943 at New York City, New York. He listed his home of
residence
as Kings County, New York, and his civilian occupation as
Semiskilled Construction Occupations.
He had completed two years of High School and was married. His
religion was listed as Catholic.
Private Bianco was killed in
action in Germany, on December 3, 1944, the last day of the
22nd Infantry's particpation in the Battle of the Hürtgern
Forest, just as the Regiment was being relieved.
He was originally buried in the
Henri-Chapelle temporary cemetery in Block PP Row 2 Grave 23,
and was moved to the permanent Henri-Chapelle cemetery in the
1947-1949 time frame,
when the temporary cemeteries were shut down.
