High School and at the time of induction was single with no
dependents.
His religion was listed as Catholic.

killed in action in Germany during the battle for the city of

George H. Barkley was buried in
the temporary U.S. Military Cemetery,
Foy Cemetery, Bastogne, Belgium and in 1949 his remains
were returned to the United States where he was
reinterred in New York.
George H. Barkley is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneseo, Livingston County, New York.
