Jack Rightmyer is listed in Army records as being assigned to 1/22 Infantry, but attached to
K Company 75th Rangers at the time of his death. He was killed when the aircraft (UH-1D 66-16091)
in which he was a passenger, was hit by hostile ground fire, crashed and burned, during a LRRP insertion
at grid reference ZA055956, approximately 3 kilometers northeast of Polei Kleng airfield.
