in Binh Dinh Province when he was mistaken for a hostile force.
He was reported as missing in

that report being changed on October 10, 1967 to killed in
action.

in stating that 16 other servicemen were killed in the incident.
It is also incorrect
in stating that the incident happened in the Mekong Delta.
