SGM William McGee was killed while on a convoy on Highway QL 14, in Kontum Province.
The truck in which he was riding struck a mine about 11 kilometers east/northeast of Polei Krong airfield,
at grid reference ZA208945. Also riding in the same truck and killed was SSG Clifford Bias of Company E.

Willie McGee left behind his wife, three sons and one daughter.
