Thomas Carroll was killed in action while on Operation Mac Arthur/Binh Tay,
during the Battle of Chu Moor Mountain, at grid reference YA844891,
approximately 25 kilometers west of Polei Krong.

Cpl. Thomas Carroll, aged 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Carroll, 346 Quimby NE, was killed in action in Vietnan April 26.
Surviving besides his parents are three brothers, James B of Delat, William and John at home; two sisters, a Mrs. Maryann Belchik of Berkley, Calf.
And Miss Edith Carroll of Chicago; his fiancé, Miss Dianne Mertons of Chicago. He was a graduate of Catholic Central class of 1962,
he attended Notre Dame from 1962 to 1967. Requiem Mass will be sung Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Andrew’s Cathedral.
Interment Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors. Relatives and friends will have a Bible reading Monday evening at 8:15
and will recite the Rosary Tuesday evening at 8:15 at O’Brien’s Colonial Home where Cpl. Thomas reposes.
