Model M1910 Army issue canteen and cover
marked for the 22nd Infantry. Individual Soldier's number is at the bottom,
below the "US" - hard to read - looks like "117". Above the "US" marking
there also appears to be a marking for Company A.

Close up of the equipment marker
for Company C 22nd Infantry

Model M1910 cartridge belt with circular disc for Company C 22nd Infantry
The disc can be seen affixed to the first cartridge pocket in the upper left of the photo at left.
The disc is an equipment marker, widely used in WWI to mark unit property. These discs
were produced with different combat arms insignia, in this case with crossed rifles for Infantry.

Thanks to Denis Flynn for the identification of the unit marker above.
