1st Battalion 22nd Infantry

RUCKSACK GRUNT – VIETNAM – 1st Battalion 22nd Infantry.

A Vietnam Veteran’s Memoir.

Bob Kuhn, who served with B Co 1/22 inf, wrote and published an interesting memoir about many consequential life events
that occurred before, during, and after his time with the 22nd regiment.

The events take place from 1969 – 1972, detailing Bob’s evolutionary journey from his teenage years in a safe suburban neighborhood
of Pennsylvania, to being “drafted” into the Army, and then sent to the jungles and mountains of Vietnam’s Central Highlands,
as well as into the coastal rice paddies during the latter years of the war.

Many Vietnam Veteran readers will find that they enjoy discovering parts of the story that they can identify with and relate to
while remembering their own similar personal military and Vietnam tour of duty experiences.

Spouses, friends, and family members of Vietnam Veterans may also gain some insight into some of the experiences, thoughts,
and feelings that their Veteran doesn’t talk about, but lived through, during his or her struggles in Vietnam.
