22nd Infantry 1943 - 1945

 

Donald N. Lee served as an officer in the 22nd Infantry from 1943 through 1945.

Thanks to the efforts of his son Mark his story has been preserved and added
to the history of the 22nd Infantry Regiment. Photos and documents on the
next four pages are through the courtesy of Mark A. Lee and are shared
in loving memory of his father.

In the photo above Lieutenant Donald N. Lee is wearing the shoulder sleeve insignia
of the 4th Infantry Division on the left sleeve of his Model 1941 field jacket.
The 4th Infantry Division insignia can also be seen at the very top of his
steel helmet above his Lieutenant's insignia.
