Raider Soldiers honor service of fallen Iraqi comrade

Baghdad — Col. Ted Martin, commander of the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division,
Multi-National Division – Baghdad, offers his condolences to local community leaders Sept. 26 during a funeral
conducted in the Aamel community of the Rashid district in southern Baghdad. Martin, a Jacksonville Beach, Fla., native,
attended this event to pay his respects to the families and friends of Iraqi Lt. Col. Ra’ad Sahaar Moyan Juda al-Hussaini,
commander of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Mechanized National Police Brigade, who was killed during an enemy ambush in the Diyala province.

as the colors passed by, carried by the 1st BCT PSD to Col. Ted Martin, 1st "Raider" Brigade commander.
Martin passed the colors to the brother and family members of Iraqi Lt. Col. Ra’ad Sahaar Moyan Juda al-Hussaini,
commander of the 3rd Bn., 1st Mechanized National Police Brigade, who was killed during an enemy ambush in the Diyala province.

Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad,
renders a salute as he presented the folded colors, Sept. 26, to Col. Ted Martin, commander of the 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div.,
at an Iraqi Security Forces combat outpost in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. Martin, who hails from Jacksonville Beach, Fla.,
presented the flag to the brother of a fallen Iraqi comrade, Lt. Col. Ra’ad Sahaar Moyan Juda al-Hussaini,
commander of the 3rd Battalion, 1st Mechanized National Police Brigade, following a memorial for the Iraqi NP,
who was killed in an ambush in the Diyala Province of Iraq earlier in the week.

Elledge, who hails from Dexter, Mo., attended the memorial and follow-on flag presentation ceremony in honor of a fallen Iraqi comrade,
who worked closely with Leaders and Soldiers of the 1st "Raider" Brigade. Col. Ted Martin, commander of the 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div.,
