FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq –
Spc. Allen Henson, an infantryman from Arapaho, Okla.,
assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment,
1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad,
holds a good form doing standing overhead press repetitions June 1 at the Combat Outpost Attack,
a patrol base in the Bayaa Community of the Rashid district in southern Baghdad.
One of three COPs and Joint Security Stations in the "Regulars" Bn.'s operating environment,
the combat outpost offers many of the same amenities of Forward Operating Base Falcon,
to include a gym, MWR room, hot meals, and showers. Soldiers of Co. A "Gators" maintain a security presence
supporting Iraqi Security Forces in the local communities in southern Baghdad 24 hours a day.

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq –
Cpl. Christopher Rivera, an infantryman from Lansing, Mich.,
assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team,
4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, puts on his war face
while putting up the fly press June 1 at the gym located on Combat Outpost Attack
in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. The Soldiers of Co. A "Gators" conduct patrols
and operations from the patrol base located in the Bayaa community 24 hours a day.
When not on duty, the Soldiers enjoy some of the amenities of a forward operating base,
to include a weight room, an MWR room, hot food and running showers.

Spc. Daniel Toves, an infantryman from Guam,
assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team,
4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division – Baghdad, stays intent on his form,
bicep curls and weight June 1 during Weight Training Physical Training at Combat Outpost Attack
in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad. The Soldiers of Co. A "Gators" have access to weight
and elliptical trainers at the gym located on the patrol base that over watches the Bayaa and Aamel communities.
The COPs provide Soldiers amenities similar to what is found on a forward operating base
to include a gym, an MWR room with phones and computers, at least one hot meal a day and running water.
