Reenlistments

March 15, 2006

We continue to retain quality Soldiers in our Army through reenlistment.
Reenlistment in a combat zone shows a great commitment to our nation and our Army…
and the monetary bonuses are also tax free.   Although the money is a nice incentive,
our Soldiers continue to reenlist because they believe in what they are doing
and want to be a part of something much larger than themselves.
Our reenlistments have occurred in a variety of places ranging from a palace in Baghdad
to the Spartan-like existence of a forward patrol base in our area.
We congratulate and thank the 28 Soldiers and their families that have reenlisted in the past 30 days.
