Editor's note:

Staff Sgt Roger Garcia is from Company C of 1-22 Infantry.
He received his Purple Heart for the action of April 26, 2003,
the same action in which his Platoon Leader, 1st Lt Osbaldo Orozco was killed in action.
Lt Orozco's wife and family had already been presented with his Purple Heart.

Spc Juan Cabral, later promoted to SGT,
was awarded his second Purple Heart on January 31, 2004,
when he was killed in action while attached to 1-22 Infantry in Iraq.
