C Company Vet Honored at Memorial Day 2019
On May 27, 2019 a Veteran of
Company C 1/22 Infantry was one of the honored guests on stage at
the
Memorial Day Rolling Thunder and Memorial Day Concert held in
Washington, D.C.
Charles "Doc" Shyab, a
Medic with Charlie Company 1/22 Infantry 1967-1968
was one of the Vietnam Veterans asked to appear onstage at the
concert.

Staff Sergeant Tim
Chambers salutes Rolling Thunder as it passes his station.
Known as The Saluting Marine, Staff Sergeant Chambers stands for
hours
each year saluting the riders as they come into the nation's
capitol.
Staff Sergeant Chambers
was at the Pentagon during the terrorist attack on September 11,
2001
and received the Navy Commendation Medal for his actions in the
immediate
rescue and recovery operations that day and the next two days.
