1st Battalion 22nd Infantry

Company C Reunion
July 11 - July 15, 2007
Washington, D.C.

Vietnam veterans 1967-68 from C Company 1st Battalion 22 Infantry Regiment met in Washington D.C. July 11-15, 2007.
The group assembled at the Sheraton National Hotel overlooking Arlington Cemetery and The National Mall.
It was the first time to attend for eight veterans. Official activites began on Thursday, July 12.
The veterans presented a wreath at The Tomb of the Unknowns and held memorial services
for two unit members who are buried in Arlington Cemetery. Later in the day a memorial service was held at the Vietnam Memorial.

On July 13 the group met in Alexandria, Virginia to board a boat and enjoy lunch
while seeing the sights of Washington from the Potomac River.

The closing ceremony was on Saturday night. A Flames of Rememberance Ceremony was held and dinner was enjoyed by all.

The plans for the Washington reunion were arranged by Charlie Shyab.
The annual meetings are always special but the added attraction of being in D.C. made the gathering most memorable.
