C/1/22 Tet to Chu Moor 67-68 Met
in Gilroy, California July 10/11/12. It was our 5th meeting.
We had a great meeting and enjoyed exploring the San Francisco
area.
Two veterans, Andrei Pashin and Tim Diefenbacher, joined us for
the first time.
After five years our meetings
are more like family reunions than a military reunion.
We know each others kids and grandkids and stay in touch all
year. We dedided to meet in New Orleans in 2009.
Dinner on the first night
Larry Konermann, C
Company Commander 67-68, accepting a proclamation from the City
of Gilroy
making July 10, 2008 C/1/22 Day in Gilroy. The local VFW honored
us with a cookout.
A medallion was presented commerating the 40th anniversary of our
service in Vietnam.
Our meeting was the front page feature story in the Gilroy
newspaper.

It has become a
tradition to end our reunions by reading the names
of each C/1/22 member who died in Vietnam during our tour of duty
and lighting a candle---Flames of Remembrance.
