Grove, OK

C/1/22 veterans who served in Vietnam during 1967-68 met in Grove, OK. July 6/7/8/9.
The annual meetings began in 2003. Ray Warner, Lynn Berliner, Mike Stokes, and Brad Howe (son of Sydney Howe KIA Chu Moor)
were first time attendees.

Thursday was check in day. Arrivals were greeted and groups began to meet.
Everyone enjoyed dinner together and returned to the motel to visit until late hours.

On Friday the conference room at the motel was reserved for displays of pictures, maps, and scrapbooks.
The group took an evening break to have dinner at the Shebang, a local favorite restaurant.
Ray Warner, Bud Roach, Charlie Shyab, and Jim Murray, C Company medics, were recogniozed for their service in Vietnam.
The veterans and their families returned to the motel where the good times lasted until after midnight.

Saturday was a day for sight seeing and taking in the local attractions.
Late in the afternoon C Company members met at the motel for a memorial service dedicated to the friends and comrades
whose names are engraved on the Wall. The evening meal was served aboard the paddlewheeler, Cherokee Queen.
The evening was completed by casual visiting around the motel pool.

Sunday morning found everyone busy getting suitcases packed and cars loaded.
Most of the group was able to have breakfast together before leaving to catch a flight or start the drive home.
