1/22 Veteran Remembers the Tet Offensive 50 years later
On March 22, 2018 Charles
"Doc" Shyab, a veteran of Company C 1/22 Infantry
was interviewed by NBC4 (WRC-TV) in Washington, D.C. It was the
50th
anniversary of the Tet Offensive in Vietnam and the television
station
presented the eye witness recollections of Doc Shyab who fought
in the Battle of Kontum during the Offensive.
Doc Shyab spoke of his
experiences with 1st Battalion 22nd Infantry in Vietnam
during 1968 and remembered the lives of several fellow soldiers
killed that year.
