Captured weapons - at least eight of them are French FM 24/29 light machine guns
Camp was heavily
mortared one day and 105 shell bunker caught fire from round hit,
we tore sandbags away and put out fire
One of our gun crews
took a direct hit also, you can see hole it made,
many injured and I think some Regulars were killed
