James J. Haskins was born in New York in 1918. He was drafted into the Army
on February 24, 1942 at Fort Niagara, Youngstown, New York. His home of
residence was listed as Onondaga County, New York. He had completed three
years of High School and was single with no dependents.

Before he shipped overseas James J. Haskins was married.

Private Haskins was seriously wounded in action in France on June 8, 1944.
